Subscribe to Sendless Pro on AWS Marketplace

You only need a subscription for Sendless Pro. The Community edition is free: go straight to Install Sendless.

  1. Open the Sendless listing on AWS Marketplace and choose "View purchase options".
  2. Choose "Create contract", then "Pay now". Sendless Pro costs USD 1,399 per year and covers as many installations as you like.
  3. Choose "Set up your account". AWS Marketplace takes you to our registration page; sign in or create an account if asked.
  4. Enter your name and email address and choose "Subscribe". We email your Sendless Pro license key to this address.
Install Sendless

Open sendless.cloud, choose your Region, select "Launch in your AWS account" and enter the administrator's email address. CloudFormation creates everything in about five minutes, and the administrator receives a temporary password by email. You need permission to create IAM roles in your AWS account.

The Sendless documentation explains every step and option, including custom domains, email through Amazon SES, single sign-on, malware scanning, updates and uninstalling.

Activate your Pro license

Sign in to Sendless as an administrator, open Admin → License, paste the license key from our email and save. The Pro features are available right away; there is nothing to reinstall. The same key works in all of your installations, and the key is checked offline.

When your subscription renews, we send you a new license key for the new term.

Troubleshooting

I didn't receive my license key

Check your spam folder first. The key goes to the email address you entered when you subscribed, or to the address we have on file for your AWS account. Still nothing? Write to support@silverlining.cloud with your AWS account ID.

Setting Up CNAME or A Record for the Apex of a Domain

When integrating your base domain (e.g., example.com) with our service, you may need to set a CNAME or A record to redirect to a URL at the apex of the domain. This step is not necessary if you only intend to integrate a subdomain (e.g., link.example.com) with our service.

Most domain registries (such as GoDaddy) do not allow setting a URL as the destination for the apex of a domain. However, there are workarounds to address this issue. We recommend using AWS Route 53, a DNS hosting service that allows you to configure the records as required by our setup. It offers a way to keep your domain registered with your current registry while managing the DNS through AWS. For guidance on integrating AWS Route 53 with your domain, please refer to this blog post: https://jryancanty.medium.com/domain-by-godaddy-dns-by-route53-fc7acf2f5580.

Alternatively, you can set up a redirection to our backend for the "www" subdomain and then redirect from the apex domain to the "www" subdomain. This approach can be implemented using a service like http://wwwizer.com.
