We are excited to announce two powerful new features for our Screenshot API designed to give you more control and higher success rates when capturing web pages.
1. Beat Bot Detection with Country-Specific Proxies
Struggling with protected websites? Our new proxy_country_code parameter is the solution.
By routing your request through residential proxies in specific countries (like US, DE, or JP), you can now:
- Bypass Anti-Bot Systems: Mimic real user traffic from residential IPs to avoid being blocked by strict firewalls.
- Capture Geo-Localized Content: See exactly what a user in New York, London, or Tokyo sees—perfect for verifying ads or region-locked pages.
Note on Pricing: Because this feature uses premium residential proxies, enabling proxy_country_code consumes 3 API credits per request instead of the standard 1.
2. Total Control with Custom Headers
Need to simulate a specific device or access a logged-in state? The new custom_headers parameter lets you inject your own HTTP headers.
- Set Custom User Agents: Make your request look like a specific mobile device or browser.
- Pass Authentication: Send Cookie or Authorization headers to capture pages behind a login.
- Referrer Spoofing: Set a Referer to access pages that check where traffic is coming from.
